Compliance is more than just adherence to laws. When applied correctly, compliance standards can serve as a moral compass within companies, underpinning an ethical and responsible corporate culture. Especially in medium-sized businesses, new legal requirements such as the Whistleblower Protection Act or the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act are often still viewed with scepticism. Naturally – because for smaller companies in particular, it's about resources, financial investment, and possibly additional burdens. The fact is, however, that the implementation of these requirements can a) be simple and effective and b) have a sustainably positive impact on business success.
